Services in Ealing
Ealing is a big town centre with plenty of offices as well as homes. The London Plan 2021 puts it in the Metropolitan tier, for centres that draw people from several boroughs. So this page covers office cleaning in the centre alongside regular, deep and end of tenancy cleans for W5 homes. Any council rule mentioned here is Ealing Council's.
Residential cleaning
Regular cleaning of kitchens, bathrooms and living areas, as often as you need it.
What it involvesDeep and detailed cleaning
For built-up grease and limescale, and the spots a regular clean skips.
What it involvesEnd of tenancy cleaning
Move-out cleans for tenants, landlords and letting agents, ready for the inventory check.
What it involvesCommercial and office cleaning
Out-of-hours cleaning of desks, washrooms, kitchens and floors in offices, studios and shared spaces.
What it involvesEaling the town, Ealing the borough
Ealing means two things. There's the town, the W5 streets around the Broadway, Haven Green and Ealing Common, and there's the London Borough of Ealing, which Ealing Council splits into seven areas: Acton, Ealing, Greenford, Hanwell, Northolt, Perivale and Southall. This page is about the town. We work across the rest of the borough as well, so a house in Hanwell or an office in Acton gets a quote the same way.
Which council runs your street decides the rules on bins, bulky waste and parking. A few of our guides were written for Uxbridge, which is in the London Borough of Hillingdon, and Hillingdon's rules don't apply in W5. Any council rule on this page comes from ealing.gov.uk.
Around the Broadway and Haven Green
Ealing Broadway station is in TfL's Zone 3, with the Central, District and Elizabeth lines. Ealing Common station, also Zone 3, has the District and Piccadilly.
Three of Ealing Council's conservation areas sit close to the Broadway. Haven Green has its own, in Ealing Broadway ward, and so does the town centre next to it.
| Conservation area | Ward | First designated | Extended |
|---|---|---|---|
| Haven Green | Ealing Broadway | 1982 | 1993 |
| Ealing Town Centre | Ealing Broadway | 1994 | 2004 |
| Ealing Green | Walpole, Ealing Common and Ealing Broadway | 1969 | 1982, 1992 and 2004 |
The centre is big. The London Plan 2021 (still the adopted plan while a new draft goes through consultation) puts Ealing in its Metropolitan tier, for centres that pull people in from several boroughs and have a lot of shop, leisure and service space and plenty of jobs. For a cleaner, that means offices and shops around the Broadway as well as homes.
Homes near Walpole Park and Ealing Green
Pitzhanger Manor, W5 5EQ, is in Walpole Park. Ealing Council's page describes the park as the house's Regency landscape, and the house is Grade I listed.
1800 to 1804
Pitzhanger Manor
The years Sir John Soane spent designing and building Pitzhanger, according to Ealing Council.
Ealing Studios is on Ealing Green itself, at W5 5EP, and the studio's own site says the first UK film studio was built in Ealing in 1902. The Ealing Green conservation area in the table above is the oldest of the three, and it stretches across parts of three wards.
Living in a conservation area doesn't change how a house gets cleaned. What does matter is anything fragile, like original tiles, old timber floors or a fireplace you're careful with, so mention it when you get in touch and the right products and care can go on the list for your home.
If you just want the house kept on top of, a regular domestic clean every week or fortnight is the one to look at. When the kitchen and bathroom have got away from you, or guests are coming, a one-off deep clean gets into the grease, the limescale and the corners a routine visit skips. After building work, after builders cleaning deals with the fine dust that keeps settling.
Leaving a rented home in W5
Moving out of a rented place in Ealing? The end of tenancy cleaning page covers the clean itself. Our end of tenancy guide was written for Uxbridge, but its parts on the Tenant Fees Act 2019 and on how the Deposit Protection Service looks at cleaning deductions apply to any tenancy in England, a W5 flat included. Skip its sections on bulky waste and the order of an Uxbridge move-out, because those describe Hillingdon's service.
If you're a landlord getting a place ready for the next tenant, see cleaning for landlords. Short-let hosts can look at Airbnb cleaning.
Offices in the town centre
An office clean has to fit around the people working there. Our hours are 6am to 10pm, seven days a week, so we can be in and out before the first desk fills or after the lights go off. The office cleaning page lists what's included, from desks and kitchens to washrooms and floors.
Our office cleaning guide starts with the workplace regulations that cover every office in England, and that part is useful wherever you are. Its later sections on business parking bays and trade waste are Hillingdon Council's rules, so an Ealing office should check parking and waste with Ealing Council.
Parking and getting a price
If your street is in a controlled parking zone, a visitor parking in a resident bay may need a permit. Ealing Council sets those rules and how to buy one, so check its parking pages for your zone. Letting us know about a permit bay, an entry code or a key safe when you ask for a quote saves time on the first visit.
Before your first clean in Ealing
